Elections in India

Elections have always played a very important role in the history of India after independence. We are seeing number of big elections in India from last 60 years. This year also we are going to witness one of the biggest elections of Indian history Loksabha Election 2009. Loksabha Election 2009 will start from 16 April 2009 and will end on 13 May 2009. These elections will be conducted in five phases due to large geography of India. Results of these Loksabha Elections will be declared on 16 May, 2009. This time, we can find fight between three main political groups UPA, NDA and third front. All these political groups are making various claims of winning these elections; however, we will only be able to find actual results on 16 May.
